We started making our games for both PC and Mac with Game #22 Nancy Drew: Trail of the Twister. At this time, HeR Interactive is developing all of our new games for the Mac, as well as PC. I wish we had more games available for the Mac, but as we are a small company, the cost of converting our older games is prohibitive. This is a list of video games that center upon the fictional character of Nancy Drew.Some of the games are adaptations of various Nancy Drew books while others are not. While the majority of the games were produced through Her Interactive, some have been released by Majesco Entertainment.
HeR Interactive is a video game company based in Bellevue, Washington. The company was founded as a division of American Laser Games, and spun off as an independent entity. It later bought out its former parent company. The company designs, develops and publishes adventure-mystery games, most of which are based on the Nancy Drew franchise.
History[edit]The company was launched as a division of American Laser Games called 'Games for Her Interactive' in May 1995.[1] Its first title was McKenzie & Co.[2] After finding initial success, the company became independent of American Laser Games and eventually bought out its former parent company. Her Interactive relocated to Bellevue, Washington in the late 1990s. Since 1998, the company developed 33 entries in its Nancy Drew adventure-mystery game series.[3]Nancy Drew: Codes & Clues has been praised for encouraging girls to learn coding.[4]

Stuart Moulder joined as CEO in May 2011 with a goal of diversifying the company's funding sources.[5] He left the company in 2014. Penny Milliken replaced him that same year.[6] The latest installment of the Nancy Drew game series, Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem, has suffered delays, including firing a good majority of their staff from its planned release at the end of 2015. [7] An official announcement made by HER indicated the game was set to be released November 19, 2019 but later changed it to December 3, 2019.[3]

Game Description Excellent Nancy Drew Adventure! In Danger on Deception Island, you, as Nancy Drew, are investigating a string of mysterious events on Deception Island.
 When George's friend, Katie Firestone, invites Nancy to Deception Island in the San Juan Islands of the Pacific Northwest for a whale-watching excursion, the sleuth arrives to find Katie's tour boat heavily vandalized. A threatening note warns Katie to 'stop meddling.'
 Investigate By Land or Sea Investigate by foot, bike, and kayak! Navigate sea caves, boats, and the surrounding waters in your kayak. Hop on your bike to explore the Whale Center, Hot Kettle Cafe, and Lighthouse. Walk around town or hit the sandy beach to discover a lighthouse, build sandcastles and more!
 As Nancy investigates, she learns that the town of Snake Horse Harbor is up in arms over an orphaned Orca whale that recently appeared in the channel and has apparently decided to stay.
 Is the boat in Snake Horse Harbor related to the orphaned orca whale roaming the nearby channel, or is there a deeper threat shrouded in the approaching fog? Plunge into danger to bring a mysterious island's secrets to the surface!

 Learn and play at the same time with the latest Nancy Drew release: Danger on Deception Island.
 Washington State Finally Gets in a Game ;) A local to the Washington State coast, Katie Fireside is a Marine Biologist, animal activist, and owner of a whale watching vessel who has been vandalized for her fervent enthusiasm to aid a beached orca whale. In your journey to help her cause, much is learned about the killer whale as well as other species native to the region and other helpful skills such as crab fishing.
 Interesting Mini-Puzzles Mini-puzzles are creative and unique, including repairing broken pipe systems, organizing book shelfs properly, solving riddles and much more.
 Decent Graphics But Audio is Nothing Special Graphics are nothing astounding but are well done, most notably the accurate representation of the landscape of the region as well as character movement and voice acting alignment which match perfectly, demonstrating the highest level of precision. At times voice-overs can become particularly bothersome, including when Nancy exclaims 'Cool!' in a shrill voice multiple times in a row while examining animal slides. Background music falls so far into the background that it is easily missed and contributes little to the game. Sound effects are equally unimpressive, but fortunately neither of these components drastically reduce the overall appeal.
 Conclusion - Good if You Like Nancy Drew Adventures Although there is both a junior and senior detective mode to suit multiple audiences, both classify on an easy/easy-medium difficulty scale and many 'junior detectives' will be more than capable of competing on the senior level.
 Overall, the graphics are well done and the tasks to be completed fun and diverse, making this Nancy Drew release an enjoyable experience that will teach new facts and skills along the way.
